We built an evaluation plan with stakeholders and shared it as the Phase One Design Report.
Technical assistance.
Our team helped programs understand and support local evaluation plans and trained grantees on how to regularly collect and report quarterly data on program and participants.
Comprehensive evaluation.

California Violence Intervention and Prevention (CalVIP) grants, issued to large and small cities and community-based organizations in California, offer a range of interventions and crime prevention services, including employment, health, mentoring, and supportive service. They help people of different ages with varied levels of involvement (or risk of involvement) with the criminal justice system.
In 2020, SPR launched a multiyear project for the Board of State and Community Corrections that examines the programs established through the third round of CalVIP grants. The evaluation includes implementation and outcomes studies as well as evaluation-related technical assistance to support program improvement.
